Exit 2266 240V a.c. is a Mains Powered Ionisation Smoke Alarm with 9v Battery backup.
General Information
Supplied by AVH Electrical Engineering (no longer in existence). A Ionisation sensor activated “Ion240/9v mains powered unit with a 9 volt backup battery”. Units can appear a dull yellow colour with age.
COMMON ISSUES & EXPIRY
Beeping after battery change. Ceiling base loose mostly because Homeowners were unsure how to unlatch the smoke alarm from its ceiling base.
How to Open
Exit 2266 has a side ‘push & slide’ unlatch mechanism, with a wire hinge support.
Our Opinion
Stable and early release smoke alarm. Larger diameter width. Older ionisation type smoke sensor. Production ceased over a decade ago. Rated overall 8/10. Units are all now expired and require replacement.
